Shadow Pack Empty Shadow Pack

Post by Opal Sun Jan 03, 2016 8:51 pm

This is the shadow pack.  It is the more tranquil pack of the two and is more focused on finding new resources.  It is a good pack to join if you start as a loner since the dogs are generally more friendly.  This pack is closer to the river yet farther from the hunting grounds.

Shadow Pack Empty Re: Shadow Pack

Post by Lykaios Tue Jan 05, 2016 3:51 pm

Lykaios woke up from a nap, his orbs scanning his territory. The alpha found nothing of aberration and let out a relaxed sigh, auds perked. The new beta caught his attention as he rose, heading over to greet her. The alpha's cranium was held high upon his shoulders, a hint of confidence in his stride. "Hello, there." Lykaios said, greeting the female.

Echo dipped her head drinking the cool water from the stream. Slowly her head raised, a pink tongue ran across her dark toned muzzle clearing off the droplets of water. The fae's ears twitched as the sound of the males voice drifted towards her. "Hello" she responded in a gentle tone, fitting for the slender female.

An indolent smile crossed his face. The lupe's apex raised, auds perked. "Name is Lykaios. I'm glad to meet my new beta" He said, licking his maw. The alpha's frame shifted as he approached the stream, orbs focusing deeply into the indigo abyss. His crest deadly still as he concentrated, waiting for the flicker of silver. His fores flashed into the stream, catching a marine and offering it to the she-wolf. "For you, doll." The alpha smirked with a wink.

Chocolate orbs watched the brutes movements as he introduced himself. "Mine is Echo" the fae's tender voice responded. Adjusting herself slightly she lowered her haunches to the ground, auds twitching with slight interest at Lykaios's actions. The silvery prey item caught her interest as it was offered to her with seemed to be a flirtatious attempt to impress her. "How kind" the shewolf returned his smirk as she accepted his small offering.

Lykaios smiled, staying rather amiable. He dismissed himself to scan his territory. The alpha's pads dug into the soft terra, orbs focusing on the fresh crimson streaked skyline. His figure glided with ease, cranium held high, platform moving freely. The lupe halted by the tree line, spreading his scent for the night. He extruded his digits, scraping a pine. A yawn escaped the alpha's labria, showing his rather large fangs.

Echo's attention moved to the silver marine animal, a quick taste test was all the fae needed before she devoured the small meal. A pile of bones was all that remained of the carcass, her orbs scanned the reddened sky above. Gracefully the fae's slender bodice moved away from the steam, until she happened upon a soft grass bed. Quietly she lowered her frame to the ground letting the cool earth seep into her undersides.

Shadow Pack Empty Re: Shadow Pack

Post by Lykaios Wed Jan 06, 2016 6:43 pm

Lykaios slipped into the forest, craving some fresh kill. His nares
flared, picking up the scent of a stray hare. He attacked it with alacrity, holding the limp body in his jaws. The lupe's visage was illuminated by the ray of moonlight slipping through the translucent clouds. His enamels were stained a deep crimson from the hare's blood. He began to head back, appendages flowing freely in the crisp night air. His thick muscles rippled with each movement, orbs lighting up when the alpha entered his realm.

Echo's nostrils twitched at the scent of the scarlet liquid. Now cranium erect, her orbs looked for the cause of the smell. It was soon apparent that the scent came with the arrival of her alpha, which it was assumed the brute had made a kill. Slowly she raised her bodice from the ground awaiting his return.

Shadow Pack Empty Re: Shadow Pack

Post by Lykaios Thu Jan 07, 2016 11:08 am

The alpha returned to his base, optics wandering to Echo seeing she was up. His muzzle raised up to the sky, taking in a deep breath. "The moonlight alpha is near." He growled, hackles raising. His auds flattened against his cranium. The last time his pack had encountered the them, the moonlight pack was severely hostile. Maybe things had changed...

Post by Echo Thu Jan 07, 2016 12:11 pm

Echo picked up on the change in Lykaios's frame, immediately she knew something was awry. With caution her muscular legs moved her to stand beside the alpha. Nares flaring in and out as she scented the air. Soon the cause for his displeasure was known. "Moonlight Pack" the fae's lips pulled back revealing a set of ivory canines.

Shadow Pack Empty Re: Shadow Pack

Post by Lykaios Thu Jan 07, 2016 11:25 pm

Lykaios closed his azure orbs, taking another deep breath. "No threat, the alpha is at the river." He said to Echo, noticing the beta had sensed it as well. A brazen smirk crossed his palette as he chuckled softly. There were other canines near the river as well, which drew his attention back. Had the moonlight pack grown since they last came into contact? The lupe shook his pelt and licked his maw. The solstice days began to grow noticeably warmer, taking a toll on his thick pelt, protecting the muscular frame beneath. His strong body was better suited for winter.

Post by Echo Fri Jan 08, 2016 11:23 am

Echo's tensed frame relaxed as Lykaios noted there was no threat. However this did stop her from scenting the air again. The presence of other canid's had her on edge. Especially with the change in the air. As winter was coming to a close, the change in season signaled a change in her body. Soon the fae's phenomenons would surround her, and without a mare she was vulnerable to outsiders.

Shadow Pack Empty Re: Shadow Pack

Post by VintageRose Fri Jan 08, 2016 9:02 pm

Vintage, the young weimaraner had unknowingly crossed into the territory of shadow pack. Pale orbs scanning the grassy clearing, spotting the river she trotted over, tongue flicking out of her mouth and scooping water into her mouth. Once her thirst was quenched, she prepared herself to leave. She paused though, she spotted beautiful smooth stones at the bottom of the shallow river. Long silky tail wagging as she dipped her muzzle into the water and latched her maw onto one of the smooth stones.

The water cool and soothing as she brought it from the water. Leaping over the small hill to lay in the grass. She first let it dry, the sun soaking up the wet stone before she dipped her paw in some river mud. Placing her paw print on the stone, she left a paw mark on it. Dabbing her nose in the mud she made pretty designs all around it, once she was satisfied she left the stone there before washing off her nose and paw.

Stretching out with a loud yawn she shook her pelt, trying to rid of the annoying gnats that insisted on well.. being annoying. A sigh escaped her maw as she trotted into the forest. The shade welcoming her pleasantly as she entered only deeper into shadow pack territory.

Shadow Pack Empty Re: Shadow Pack

Post by Lykaios Sat Jan 09, 2016 3:09 pm

Lykaios was interrupted by a brazen scent drifting through the wind, merging with his territory. The alpha's hackles raised, a fierce snarl escaping his maw. His broad figure accelerated towards the intruder, crest and banner held high. He stalked stray, orbs narrowing. There hadn't been a loner in his territory for years now. The female didn't seem to be a threat, but the cumulative threat lurked within the boundaries of his realm.
The lupe crouched, pouncing onto the intruder, pinning the female down, enamels bared slightly. He made sure not to put too much of his weight on her, to avoid injuring the female. Lykaios was able to get a better view of the female from where he was standing, and felt a bit regretful in case he startled her too much. "State your reason for entering Shadow pack's territory." He said boldly, cranium, lowering closer to her. Maybe the stray would like to join the pack, it couldn't hurt to increase his pack's size.

Echo was not far behind the alpha, though her figure was more relaxed. While still cautious of the fae. She remained quiet letting Lykaios handle the situation. The female didn't smell like she had arrived from another pack, her scent suggested she was a loner.

Shadow Pack Empty Re: Shadow Pack

Post by VintageRose Sat Jan 09, 2016 9:41 pm

Vintage appeared like a dainty fragile creature, but she was anything but. When she suddenly felt herself pushed to the ground and pinned she instantly lashed back, fangs snapping as claws dug into the dirt as she squirmed. "Get off me you brute! This is no way to treat a lady." She said, muttering the last part so he didn't hear. She finally stopped squirming, growling stil as she sighed, blowing the fur from her ears out of her eyes as she said "I was simply passing, I was not here to cause any trouble. I suppose you are the Alpha." She said, taking note of the strength the canine had.

Tail lashed, in a annoyed but friendly matter as despite her fury to fight back, she had to relax. Oh she was ready to spit every cuss word known in the alphabet, but she knew better as she sighed. Eyes following a lady bug crawling across a blade of the long grass. She really didn't like being down here.. but she knew that wasn't exactly her decision. "S-sorry to interrupt, but do you mind getting off? It's hard not feel.. well threatened when you have me flat on my back. Besides, I am not going anywhere." She sighed, trying not to be to pushy but she couldn't help but strain a bit.

Shadow Pack Empty Re: Shadow Pack

Post by Lykaios Sun Jan 10, 2016 3:12 pm

Lykaios blinked, realizing he came across more agressive than he intended. His actions immediately ceased as he withdrew, standing back with his digits still peircing the ground. The lupe sighed before he began talking. "I'm sorry, I just haven't had a stray enter this territory for...years now." He finished, deep orbs scanning the female. His large muscled frame could easily startle any dog that didn't know him, and he often forgot about how much power he had. He shifted back onto his haunches, banner sprawled behind him.

He nodded. "Yep, alpha" His auds flicked forwards for a second before resting against his head. A sudden smirk crosses his palette. "So, tell me about yourself." Lykaios said, his voice clear.

Shadow Pack Empty Re: Shadow Pack

Post by VintageRose Sun Jan 10, 2016 8:05 pm

Vintage's eyes flickered, herself? Well there wasn't much to herself.. but she would tell him what she knew about herself. Some expect that since you are you, that you should know who you are. She knew little about herself, for she was still learning. She only knew the basics... "Well, the position as alpha suits you. Myself? Hmm.. well. My name is Vintage Rose, but please call me Vintage or Vin. I am a loner, scavenging through trash for food or simply killing my own. I have never had an owner, my mother and father were well known strays, but when I departed they vanished into the allies and I haven't seen them since. I am just another 4 year old dog roaming lands or simply exploring, you never know what you might see. You?" She said, knowing very little about the lupe.

She sat, posture high as her tail rested over her paws. Despite being a stray who never had an owner, she had manners and didn't cease to not act like a lady. She was no spoiled rich dog, needing the finest cuisine or special treatment. She says that the pet life was never her cup of tea, she would never even have second thoughts about not being a feral dog. She felt free, she enjoyed that feeling.. free to do as she will.. free to be herself and not hide behind some hot headed human. She didn't want her movement to be restrained by a annoying collar, she didn't want to eat the tasteless dog food everyday. She enjoyed a challenge, she enjoyed a bit of spice in her life, and she enjoyed the variety in her diet, and the thrill of when she will eat again. She kept herself in a somewhat submissive state, respectful towards the alpha despite not even being in his pack.

Shadow Pack Empty Re: Shadow Pack

Post by Aleera Sun Jan 10, 2016 9:43 pm

Aleera keeps walking deeper in the unknown pack's territory. Between the pine trees and against the wind she had some time before anyone could find her there. She stopped at some point of the forest, where the smell of blood alarmed her nose. She lowered her head, her thick, abundant fur shaking with the breeze's blow.
In a few seconds she was able to tell that the scent was from a few hours, maybe a day ago. She smiled softly. Hares might be common in that part of the forest. Again she lowered her head, trying to catch up any scent, forgetting to take care with the wind.

Lykaios nodded, orbs turning bright for a moment before returning to their normal state. "Names Lykaios." The lupe responded. He wouldn't go into details unless if he trusted a dog entirely. He looked around, wondering where Echo was before shifting his weight, thrusting forward onto his fores. "Well Vin, you must be tired. Follow me." The alpha added, words rolling smoothly off of his tongue.

The scents of different canines drifted into his nares, orbs narrowing as the alpha walked to the center of his territory, large cranium held upright boldly.

Post by Aleera Mon Jan 11, 2016 3:38 pm

For the first time in weeks she could taste a kill. It feels good, mainly to her paladar, but also to her ego. Her pelt now not so bright as it was when she just left the river. Dry leaves and earth covering the tips of legs and belly. She carries the hare till the shadow of a pine tree and lies down, holding it with both her paws to eat it.

Vintage couldn't blame the male for not telling her much, if he was a stranger in her territory she would be skeptical to. "I could use a bit of a rest, thank Lykaios." She said politely with a dip of her head as she arose and began to follow him. Her sensitive nose began to pick up on another scent, she felt bad for the alpha.. it seemed his territory was becoming a central for rogues. She could smell many scents, a familiar female scent that must be part of the pack, a vivid and unpleasant musky smell of a male, and another female. Glancing over at the alpha she remained quiet.

Post by Lykaios Mon Jan 11, 2016 7:10 pm

Lykaios nodded. He remained near Vintage, not allowing himself to take off to deal with the other strays with a stranger in his territory. His banner raised, enamels bared slightly to show assertion to any newcomers who had happened to wander into his territory. A deep growl rolled in his chest, leading him to seem more menacing than the lupe really was. The alpha advanced a few steps, hackles raising. "If Echo brought in a canine, it must be adequate." He mumbled to himself, trusting the beta's judgment.
After all, Lykaios was devoted to his pack and could clearly see it needed some expanding.

Aleera licks her paws and mouths and gets up. The scent of two males were annoying her. It was time to know her - maybe - future pack mates. She gets up and manages to follow the most present scent she found at that place.
After walking for some minutes, she spots the figure of two dogs. She stops, waiting for permission to come by.
