countryside

Here is a peaceful, wide open space.  Many loners choose this place because there is no serious threat of humans or packs.

Lyiam had recently gotten separated from his sister during a tussle with a wild brumby who was NOT happy to see them preying upon her foal. Lyiam was knocked unconscious and the mare forced his sister away from the countryside before most likely knocking her unconscious as well. Lyiam arose, sniffling as blood dripped from the side of his head where a large gash ran across the right side of his head.

A whimper escaping as he at first didn't care for where he was or what happened.. than it hit him. "Err... Huh? Oh my goodness! Frostbite? Frostbite where are you?" He called endlessly as he searched the field. She was nowhere to be found.. or seen.. Was this the end?He whimpered as the blood dried on his head, still roaming through the fields sniffling as the pollen bothered his sensitive nose. Tail tucked between his legs as he kept out for the brumby, fear causing his fur to stand on ends and his senses to become very alert. Tongue lolling out as it was quiet hot, nose flaring as he still searched for her scent.

Lyiam whimpered, not paying attention much to his surroundings and only have a panick attack. Fur raised as he suddenly slammed into something. "w-what?" he said as he shook his aching head to see a dog in front of him. Lyiam was slightly bigger than the dog, as he quickly noted it was a german shepherd. His ears pinned back as the wound on his head re-opened from the collision. "I-I'm sorry.. I am just trying to find my sister..." He whimpered, body quivering all over again.

Lyiam shakes his head, splatters of blood spreading on the sides of his neck and muzzle, including the ground and grass. "N-no.. I must find her! She's probably hurt.." He says shakily as he still was a bit nervous around the strange dog. "Who are you? You won't hurt me, right?" He said, trying to hold back a growl as he was completely done with people hurting him at the moment.

Lyiam bcked away "Why? I barely know you! And what if you're lying?" Lyiam growled a tad, fur raising on ends as he kept his head low and ears pinned back towards the female. "How do I know I can trust that you won't be playing any tricks?" he said remembering his sister saying trust no one, because they will stab you in the back sooner or later.

Lyiam laughs "That brumby didn't look like it could hurt anyone, but you see what it did?" He said showing the gash on the side of his head. Tail lashing as he sighed "Well I guess that's true, you may come along... but no funny business." He said, not able to help his skepticism towards Aleera. "Let's go.. she should be around this field somewhere.. I think."

"We were hungry... and well we saw the foal just roaming around, so we tried to kill it." Lyiam said meekly as he followed Aleera, suddenly picking up his pace to be ahead of her as his nostrils flared and he began searching for his sisters scent.

"I can smell the brumby, but I don't want to collide with it again... but it is an older scent?" He said ears twitching as he looks over at her. Tail wagging a bit.

Lyiam notices a area where it is flattened out and droplets of blood cover the grass, he smells his own scent. "We are back to where I got knocked out. That means my sisters scent might be around her somewhere.." He said as he gets back to work, padding down more grass and raking any scent he could from the ground. "I.. I got it!" He howled as he started racing through the grass, forgetting about Aleera in his joy.

Lyiam paused, there was his sister flat out knocked out. "S-sis!" He said trying to wake her, his sister drowsily awoke.. "B-brother..? My head hurts! ow!" She yelped as Lyiam nosed her wound and gave it a warm lick. Than he froze "Aleera!" He howled, his sister loking at him very confused. "Aleera?"

"A little straight to the point eh? I am fine, now who are you! What are you doing with this? This enemy.." She spat at her brother who coward before his sister. "She is a friend, don't hurt her! She helped me find you." He said. "Ya, right before she kills both of us! Listen here you many good for nothing mutt! Leave. We know your sickening plans!" She snaps, Lyiam growling at those words.

I have had enough of this Lyiam thought before growling and attacking his own sister "Don't call her that! She is nice, I trust her!" he growled with pleading eyes towards his sister. "B-but remember what i said? The promise?" She yelped trying to squeeze under he brother. "Not everyone is mean like you say!" he said with a heavy sigh before getting off of his sister. "She's not going to hurt us, and you're not going to hurt her." He said eyeing his sister carefully.

Lyiam pinned back his ears at Aleera before jumping up. "D-don't go!" he yelped unexpectedly, blushing a bit and drawing back. "Ugh, please do!" His sister piped in at the female with bared fangs. Lyiam looking over at his sister with the nastiest look he could give, this was the first time he was being the 'adult'.

Lyiam nodded, Frostbite snorting in disapproval before following. "I'm coming to." She growled, staying in between them. "Ugh how far is this riverside?" She said panting in the heat, Lyiam was showing exhaustion, but he didn't want to show it. Glancing over at Aleera a few times.
